USO Website to be first topic. Agenda approved as amended. Minutes: It was moved by Chuck Agerstrand second by Jackie Rhodes to approve the April 20, 2004 minutes as written. Motion carried. New Business: USO Website: Two and a half years ago USO approved the creation of a website and requested a dedicated computer for the site. Intention was to have available public documents and have affiliates and committees able to update their related documents. The laptop purchased to be dedicated is being used for other items and were unable to make updates tot he site without problems. It was moved by Chuck Agerstrand second by Bob Thomas to authorize the USO President to purchase the needed equipment to host the website. Motion carried. Treasurers Report: Received a written report. It was moved by Chuck Agerstrand second by Jill Linman to receive the report. Motion carried. The Treasurer did increase the liability insurance for office equipment as it wasnt adequatethere was no cost increase for this. Reports: President: Nothing to report Bargaining: Letters of Agreement have been approved for MESSA PSA and FSA. Committee discussed possible changes to the 401K program, staff retirees retro active cost of living amount, possible Employer paid dues, and the scheme days. The scheme days will be added to the new employee orientation along with a cheat sheet that will be sent out to members. Grievance: Received written report. Approved a SSA Grievance for arbitration. A request has been sent to management for a response on an USO grievance. Communications: Website work continues Training: June trainings were cancelled and will be addressed by new Vice President. NSO: Nothing to report Retirement: Nothing to report Elections: Ballots will be counted on June 23, 2004 Crisis: Nothing to report Affiliates: MEA PSA: Nothing new to report SSA: New officers are in place on July 1, 2004 FSA: New job created in investment area has been filled internally. Elections are taking place ASO: New employee in Flint office. Two vacancies still remain. MESSA PSA: No on present New Business: Next meeting is August 24, 2004 1480 Building: Brickwork is being done and creating a lot of dust. Member who has asthma was allowed to go home.
